  • Horseradish flowers - edible or not? I think they would look pretty in a salad. #edibleflowers #salad #growyourown #mrsbilton
  • I know I shouldn’t but I couldn’t resist this cinnamon bun from @fieldandforestcafedeli #breakfast #cinnamonrolls
  • I love the garden after a rain shower, don’t you? It really seems to invigorate the flowers. #flowersofinstagram #sweetpeas #nasturtium #lavender #alchemillamollis #rose #summertime
  • Last night’s dinner - courgette & homemade labneh tart from ‘Fermented’ by @charlottepikefood So easy to make and absolutely delicious #courgettes #zucchini #tart #labneh #summercooking
  • National Picnic Month began with a ‘Victorian Picnic’ shoot beside the Thames. #victorian #picnic #foodhistory #mrsbilton #summereating #picnicmonth
  • For you @barbarasegall - a rare glimpse of me in ‘action’. Just to say, I’m really not a hat person but it turned out to be a necessity given the breeze to avoid me having a mouthful of hair every time I answered a question. The dog in the background was very restrained & kept a respectful distance (even if she was salivating). As you can imagine there was a lot of interest in the picnic from the neighbourhood dogs! One Jack Russell almost snaffled a lemon tart! Thanks to @emmapiesse for the images. #nationalpicnicmonth #filmshoot
  • Mightily impressed with @missfoodwise adaptation of Frederick Vine’s Derby Picnic Pie (1900). It certainly is a hearty dish. We’re still ploughing through it several days after the shoot I did on Friday. You can find Regula’s recipe in Oats In The North, Wheat From The South published by @murdochbooks #picnic #nationalpicnicmonth #victorian #foodhistory #porkpie #pie
  • I adore herbs (aka yarbs) so it stands to reason that I loved this book by @emma_kay_author You can read my review on the Comfortably Hungry blog (link in bio) (BTW my hands smell wonderful after picking this bouquet!). #herbs #herbalism #foodhistory #bookreview @penswordbooks
